Hello, my name is Chani. I have muscular dystrophy. I can’t move on my own without a wheelchair.

I live in the home of my amazing parents, who do all they can to help me. I am 26 years old. I live in a room with six younger siblings, which is very difficult for a woman my age. We also don't have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Whenever I need to go somewhere that isn't accessible to my chair, my father carries me. It is humiliating, and he will not be strong enough to do it forever. 

I desperately need my own room and own bathroom. Just something simple, so I can have privacy and dignity and not be embarrassed. Our neighbors recently finally gave us permission. This situation has been such a painful burden on our family. This is our chance but we don't have the money to do the changes.

Please, I am begging you. If you can help me to raise money so that I can have the things I need.  Please, help me to cover these basic expenses of someone with my condition and you should be so blessed - with health, long life, and parnassah. Thank you so so much. Chani Cohen
