Hi,

My name is Naomi Bergstein. My family has been through a lot this week. On shabbos, my husband didn’t come from shul. We didn’t know where he was. I was so scared.

 

On Saturday night, someone arrived at my door to tell me the worst possible news. My husband had fallen, hit his head, and passed away.

 

In one second, my entire world fell apart. I put my two little boys to bed, and I cried. Dovid is 5. Shmuel is 2.

 

We are sitting shiva now.

 

I am starting to wrap my head around the reality that I’m now a single mom, alone in the house with two little kids. It doesn’t seem real, but I know that it is. And I need to be strong for them.

 

Now I have to ask for help: We are not doing well financially. We were struggling even before my husband passed away. Now that I’m on my own, I don’t know how I am going to make sure that the kids and I get what we need. If there is any way that you can help us during this extremely painful time, it would take some of the burden off of my shoulders.
