Hello, my name is Rabbi Shimshon Kaminer. I live in Beit Shemesh. Two years ago, a horrific story was brought to my attention, about two young kids living in the Ukraine. This is just a piece of their story:

The mother, a young Jewish woman and daughter of survivors, had a daughter 18 years ago. The mother is a very unstable woman, with major issues. She couldn't raise her daughter properly, and severely neglected her. The government took the daughter away, and put her in an orphanage.

She has been in a few different orphanages over the years. 

Four years ago, the mother had another child, this time a little boy. Once again her neglect was shocking. The boy was taken away, to live with a Christian foster family. The foster family is too poor to properly take care of him, and has no intention of raising him with any part of Judaism. 

In the last few months it's gotten to be more urgent than ever. We desperately want to save these kids, to properly adopt them, to fly them here to Israel, so that they can live in safety with healthy Jewish families.I would like to personally take responsibility for this boy and girl, to make sure they get what they need, whether from our family directly or from the Ohr BeOdessa organization in Bayit V'Gan, a support system for Russian orphans.

In the pictures above you can see just what their mother's home looks like. It is even more horrific in person. No child deserves to live that way. Please, help me save these kids lives, before it's too late.
